Delilah Rothenberg

DELILAH ROTHENBERG is Managing Director of Development Capital Strategies (DCS), an advisory firm specializing in sustainable investment, with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Delilah provides advisory services focused on investor relations, financing, business development, impact investing and integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) best practices into the investment and / or project development cycle.  Delilah has been contracted by firms in the following sectors: private equity, banking, palm oil and agribusiness, infrastructure, food and beverage, and education. Companies include Impala Energy, Pegasus, Citigroup, PepsiCo, Zephyr Management, Herakles Capital, Black Rhino, and the African School of Economics, to name a few. She also serves as Business Development Advisor for Tiossan, the first high-end, natural skin care company inspired by Senegalese traditional healing formulations. Delilah’s past experience includes institutional equities at Bear, Stearns & Co and investment research with Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG).  Delilah has served on the Business Council for Peace (Bpeace) Executive Council and Board of Directors, founded their Young Professionals Committee, and was on their founding mission to Rwanda. Through Bpeace, she focuses on small-and-medium-sized enterprise (SME) development in conflict-affected countries. Delilah has a B.A. with honors in History, Politics, and Africa Studies from New York University, where she also studied Swahili.  Delilah’s work has been featured in various media outlets, and she speaks publicly on topics relating to investment in Africa. She has been an active contributor to USAID's initiatives related to responsible land-based investments in developing countries.
